Wedding of Alisha & Clint – 22nd November 2008

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Firstly I want to say congrats to the newly married couple, I had the best time shooting your wedding. Wow Clint I wouldn’t have thought that all those years ago back at Toormina High School that I would be shooting your wedding =) It was an honour mate.

I think we could not have picked a more windy day for a wedding on a headland. But hey we got there in the end and praise God there was not a drop of rain in sight =)

As Clint is very much a Sawtell boy we decided to shoot a few shots down the old main street before heading off to Saltwater Restaurant for the reception and a few photos on the beach.

Anyways all the best to you both for the future, good luck in Paris Clint with your League and I guess I will see you in Sawtell in the future some time =)

Movember Me

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

Hi Guys and Gals,

I am having a crack at the Movember month and I need YOUR help!!!

During Movember (the month formerly known as November) I’m growing a Mo. That’s right I’m bringing the Mo back because I’m passionate about tackling men’s health issues and being proactive in the fight against men’s depression and prostate cancer.

To donate to my Mo you can either:

  1. Click this link https://www.movember.com/au/donate/donate-details.php?action=sponsorlink&rego=2153851&country=au and donate online using your credit card or PayPal account, or
  2. Write a cheque payable to ‘Movember Foundation’, referencing my Registration Number 2153851 and mailing it to:

                                           Movember Foundation
                                            PO Box 292
                                            Prahran VIC 3181

Remember, all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

The money raised by Movember is used to raise awareness of men’s health issues and donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue – the national depression initiative. The PCFA and beyondblue will use the funds to fund research and increase support networks for those men who suffer from prostate cancer and depression.

Did you know:

  • Depression affects 1 in 6 men….most don’t seek help. Untreated depression is a leading risk factor for suicide.
  • Last year in Australia 18,700 men were diagnosed with prostate cancer and more than 2,900 died of prostate cancer – equivalent to the number of women who will die from breast cancer annually.

Wedding of Brooke & Matt – 16th November 2008

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

Firstly I would like to say “Praise God” for the weather. It looked like any minute the sky was going to fall on us. You see this wedding format was a little different than most others, Brooke, Matt and I got to hang out before their wedding ceremony for their pics. Which I think was about the only time on Sunday it did not rain.

The ceremony was held at the Coffs Harbour Golf Club. We had the fun of being able to use some carts and go around the course to find our little pots of gold (locations). We had a ball I think Matt might think that I am a little looney, but I hey I am a passionate photographer who loves his job!

Despite the rain arriving at the time of the ceremony we managed to keep ourselves dry as we held that part undercover =) So a big congratulations to Brooke & Matt. I look forward to catching up soon =)

Wedding of Kristy & Ben – 15th Nov 2008

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Wow, what a day! It went from perfect sunshine all morning to overcast clouds in the afternoon and then “POP” right in the middle of the ceremony the rain came pouring down and washed us out of the Bonville Rainforest and inside to plan B. The one thing it didn’t dampen was the wedding spirit and the love that Kristy and Ben had for each other and their wonderful families. I have seen a few grooms shed the occasional tear but Ben he was a trooper, streaming rivers of them! I love your heart Ben. After the ceremony had finished… yes it completely stopped raining. Which was great because we got some great spots in our travels to photograph at. I love the shot of Mr Happy Ben on the headland jumping for joy…

Congrats to two wonderful people. Hope you love the shots. Talk to you soon =)
