Wedding of Amy & Brendan – 24th October 2009

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Well this was the first wedding of the weekend and it was a great way to start. A beautiful location down by the lagoon at Opal Cover Resort Coffs Harbour. The weather was fantastic, it was pretty hot but when your on a location such as this you don’t seem to mind so much.

Amy’s dad would have to of been one of the most emotional father-of-the-brides I have ever photographed. He was amazing, from the moment he set his eyes on his little girl he was a goner.

We photographed the boys and the girls before hand and seems as though their rooms were only 25 meters away from each other we couldn’t risk going out side the doors. So all our before shot were done in their rooms.

After the ceremony we settled on location at Opal Cove and got some shots on the beach before we decided to head in to the Jetty where there were another 2 wedding parties lining up for photos. So we decided to do some shots on the beach first to give the others some time before we headed on up to get some shots for ourselves.

So a big congrats to the newly married couple and I can’t wait to catch up soon =)

Wedding of Bec & Jon – 25th October 2009

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Wow what a busy weekend! We had the honour of photographing 3 weddings. We were so blessed with the weather on both Saturday and Sunday, as the rain managed to hang off until we had finished our location shoots.

I decided to start with the Sunday wedding as it was the last of the weddings that I had imported.

The wedding of Bec & Jon was officiated by Wendy Haynes and the ceremony set of the lawn at the very popular Aanuka Beach Resort. The day started off hot and very humid. I felt sorry for the boys during our photo session before the ceremony. However, a few prayers and the prompt arrival of some gentle breeze and clouds before the start of the ceremony gave the boys a much needed reprieve.

After the ceremony we snapped a couple of photos of the bride and groom before we left for the Jetty as it looked like rain on the horizon. On the way we made a quick call to one of the local cafes to see if we could borrow one of their couches. So a big thank you to the boys at Urban Espresso Lounge for staying open that little bit longer to give us a totally rad red couch for a few creative shots.

Anyway I must say a big congratulations to Bec & Jon for your wedding and for letting me be apart of your special day =)

Wedding of Carly & Michael – 17th October 2009

Monday, October 19th, 2009

What a beautiful location to have a wedding! Jones’ Park Valla Beach NSW… This place was very special for this lovely couple as it was the place where Michael popped the question to his gorgeous wife. We first met up with Carly and Michael a little while back to do an engagement shoot out at Bellingen. This was a great opportunity to get to know them and they could get a handle on my quirky style!

Carly wore an amazing dress, very unique. But the day would not have been complete unless we made a special visit back to the house to capture a few shots with their beloved parrot Alfie… Alfie and I had a great time together and he even managed to pose for a self portrait with me. What a champion =)

Anyway it was great to be apart of the wedding and I pray that Carly and Michael have a blessed and wonderful honeymoon! I can’t wait to catch up and give you the photos that are going to rock =)

These shoes really sparkled.

Wedding of Sarah & Adam – 10th October 2009

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

I have been looking forward to this wedding for a while as the locations was at Palmers Island, Yamba. The venue was Adams parents place nestled on the river bank you couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location. There was just one thing, the weather. I think all were praying for the perfect day. At the beginning it looked like it may have been a wet one but praise God for the weather that he gave us, it was prefect =)

Sarah and Adam had a vintage theme going on and to add to this they made there own decorations and even the smallest of detail was achieved by Sarah making a birds nest for the rings. It looked amazing. Everything about this wedding was so unique. Well done guys. I pray you have the best honeymoon and I cant wait to catch up with you both very soon.

There was no way that the guests would get lost with all the signs…

Family Portraits with Matt & Bec

Friday, October 9th, 2009

If you are ever wondering whether we do family portraits the answer is yes! We love them, even when we need to do them in gail force winds. Thats right today I had the pleasure of shooting one of my best mates family. They are expecting number 2 and it could come any time soon, so we needed to shoot it today. Our end results were amazing…. well I thought they were anyway.

If you like them too then be sure to let me know by posting a comment below. Thanks Matt and Bec, see you in church on Sunday!!!

Wedding of Kim & Marc – 3rd October 2009

Monday, October 5th, 2009

It will go down in my history books as the longest booking ever. 2 and 1/2 years ago I got the confirmation that we would be the photographers for Kim and Marc’s wedding. They then headed overseas for 18 months to enjoy some traveling…. Lucky little things =)

But the only thing we had to worry about was the wind. The location for the ceremony was on the beach in front of Annuka Beach Resort. Such a beautiful setting. Kim looked amazing and Marc well I wouldn’t say stunning but definitely sharp =) It was a really great time shooting after the ceremony as we stayed on location at Annuka and then headed in for the reception that was held at the Breakers room.

Kim & Marc enjoy your honeymoon and we will see you in the future.
