Saturday’s wedding was just one of those beautiful occasions that saw a wonderful christian couple honour God with their marriage and give their lives to each other as husband and wife. We were blessed with the most amazing weather. We had beautiful sunshine when we needed and a touch of overcast cloud cover at times too =) Ash and Will got married at Aanuka Beach Resort at 12pm. That meant an early start for the the girls and the boys. I headed over to photograph the boys at 8:30 before heading to Urunga to shoot the girls.

Will’s pastor from City Point Church in Brisbane came do to marry this wonderful couple. The little chapel at Aanuka was packed to watch Ash and Will say I do! After the ceremony we had 4 hours till reception and so we decided to relax and get quite a few different locations that could show off the  love these 2 had for each other. We finished up at the beach where there was a really soft beautiful light that cast across the sky.

Amy and Drew… Such a wonderful couple that have already achieved so much in life and now they have the amazing experience of becoming husband and wife. On Saturday at 2:30pm Amy and Drew said I do. It was a much awaited wedding as these guys have been together for around 8 years and have 2 beautiful little girls, Amy is finishing up her medicinal degree and they are still only 23 years old. Wow!

It was such an exciting day as I started off the beginning of my work with the boys. Maybe they were a little nervous at the start by once we had finished I had them running madly down the street with groom in shopping cart =) The girls were a little different, very calm and very organised. Despite one of the girls being very sick all went ahead on time and with beaming smiles =)

The day did look like any minute it could have dumped down but praise God the weather held off long enough for us to get a few photos at Aanuka before we headed to Macauleys. It did begin to sprinkle but hey the guys wanted to forge on so forge on we did.  We finished up our shoot with some funky lighting gear as light was nearly gone.

Wow…. I was so excited to read through the results of the Australian Professional Photographers Awards (APPA) last night. I have entered this competition for the past 3 years and this year I finally won my first awards. but I didn’t just win one I was blessed enough to have won two silvers. These awards are judged by some of the countries best photographers and to be acknowledge for the work that you love to do is just so humbling. I really loved these 2 prints that I entered as they were judged in the photojournalistic category which means as a photographer you have captured your subjects without interference or instruction. Some of these moments can be the best photos you will ever take =)

This first image scored the highest of the 2 and was from a very funky wedding held out at Bowraville. So thank you to Sophie and Darby =)

This second image was an image taken from a beautiful wedding that was held at the Villa Vivante in Coffs Harbour and I thank Sarah and Dale for there amazing dance that help me to capture this special moment. I love all the people in the mirror looking on =)

This was an older non HD version of the very first motion DVD that we did. It was the wedding of Claire and Sam =) Such a wonderful couple and I loved their wedding =) It was pretty fun and I remember that I was the sickest I have ever been at a wedding =) Anyway I loved the DVD and thought it would be great to show a different style.

At SCP we have a very cool optional extra that clients may wish to invest in. A motion DVD =) These short love stories help to reflect your day in a different aspect than just photography. The Love Story In Motion is captured by a very talented friend of mine. In this particular clip. Our clients wanted to show the ceremony and speeches as the main feature. So this one is a little different. I will show you some others soon =)

On Saturday SCP had 2 weddings our second photographed by my best mate Paul and his amazing wife Louise. Trista looked amazing as Todd looking very sharp was beaming with happiness all afternoon. As I couldn’t be there myself, looking through the photos has given me a great aspect of their very special day =)

I posted an image on here that I thought was quite interesting. Its the shot of the bride and groom in silhouette. Its funny because I took almost the same shot on the same day at almost the same time =)

Trista and Todd have a wonderful time away on your honeymoon and I so look forward to catching up when you return =)

I loved this wedding. Perfect venue perfect weather perfect bride =) It was an amazing day on Saturday for the wedding of Sarah and Dale. Held at the beautiful Villa Vivante Sarah and Dale said I do at 3:30pm. Well they started their ceremony around that time =) Everyone thought that Dale had made a pretty awesome entry by arriving in a helicopter however I think his gorgeous bride took the cake on that when she capture the attention of all present when she came down the aisle. Such a stunning dress!

It was a pretty fun afternoon as we headed down to Charlesworth Bay Beach for some shots arriving there only minutes before the sunset. It was enough time to get some beautiful shots of such a wonderful couple.
