Wow what an unexpected amazing sunny day we had on Saturday to photograph the wedding of Rachel & Damien. It is beautiful to see 2 people united as husband and wife. Such a very special time. Damien got ready at his parents house at Korora while Rachel and the girls got ready at a very close friends house that backed right onto the water at Sapphire Beach. Truly amazing. Thank you to the Watson’s.
It was a wedding that I have been looking forward to for some time now. One that I have felt very honoured to be the photographer chosen to capture their special day. I first met Sophie and her wonderful mum at the wedding expo last year and they fell in love my work and booked me there and then. A few weeks ago I got to meet up with them both and meet Darby for the first time. We found some great spots for the wedding day provided it was going to be fine and sunny =) Well at the start of last week and right up until friday you would think that we were destined to have a wet soggy day. But praise God, waking up to the full sun on saturday put a smile on everyones face. It was a glorious day!!! I had a wonderful day with such a great bunch of people.
Hope you enjoy the photos and thanks for being such a great couple =) Yeeeewwww!!!!
Feel free to leave us comment =) It just makes it even more special…
There was quite a few spills on the mechanical bull during the night =)
Wow. I thought this day would never come. I thought my little man would be a little bub for a long time to come but alas the day has come for him to finally reach the ripe old age of 1. We had a bit of fun with him this morning as we opened his present. We had to rush out last minute and get something else as his Noahs Ark didn’t arrive in time. So he can wait for that another day. Anyway just a few shots to post as dad was busy working.
On Saturday I was off to Aanuka Beach Resort to photograph the wedding of Vanessa and Brad. The ceremony was held on the beautiful lawns of the resort. We were praying the rain would hold off as the storm clouds loomed. Thankfully our prayers were answered and it was a beautiful ceremony held by Wendy Haynes one of my favourite celebrants. After the ceremony it looked very very dark and the potential for rain had increased. So before the family photos I decided to grab a few shots of the bride and groom and their wonderful bridal party. We actually were very blessed by the weather as it held off right until the last location. It took us by surprise and the dark storm clouds surged across the tree line and caught us out. It was pretty funny although the rain was so intense it was blowing our umbrellas around all over the place. We arrived back to the resort to a crowd welcome as they could see everything unfold before their eyes. I was soaked through =)
Vanessa and Brad you guys and your bridal party were amazing and I loved our time together. Pray you have the best honeymoon and look forward to catching up again soon.
We finally got to do our shoot with Kim and Brendan. Last time we had organised this it decided to bucket down with rain not to mention gale force winds. So yesterday we actually got a bit of sun which was awesome. Kim and Brendan are getting married in a few weeks and I am really looking forward to their wedding. They are a super happy couple and are really relaxed in front of the camera. Just loved our time together guys, enjoy the final stages of planning and see you in a few weeks =)
